A wonderful place to spend time. The Nohipalo hiking trail is near the rental hut.
Amenities:
The hut sleeps 6, visitors must bring their own sleeping equipment.
Has a basic kitchen area with an electric stove, refrigerator, three rooms with the total of 6 beds, sauna and WC inside and a dry toilet outside.
Please wear indoors the indoor footwear only! There is a campfire site and a picnic table outside. No drinking water.

Meenikunno Landscape Protection Area with its bog lakes, hiking trail, lakes Mustjärv and Valgejärv, Ilumetsa meteorite craters, Giants of Ootsipalu Valley, Rebasmäe spring, the surrounding heath forests with spectacular sights attract visitors in this area.
Winter accessibility:
Firewood provided, access roads are kept clear of snow.
Driving directions:
Drive 15 km from Räpina towards Võru, turn left towards Värska and drive 3.8 km to the junction. Turn right at the junction, following the sign “Meenikunno maastikukaitseala” pointing to the Meenikunno Landscape Protection Area. Drive 2.1 km to Nohipalo village, turn left, following the sign “Ilumetsa metsamaja” and drive 200 m.

RMK rental huts are locked cottages mainly for the hikers who plan their hike more thoroughly. A rental hut provides the privacy for the user and therefore a “key fee” must be paid.
As a user of Forest House you should know the following:
1) The Forest House is open only at pre-booked times
2) The estimated time of use is from 14.00 to 12.00 the following day
3) The number of users of the house is 8 people due to fire safety requirements
4) Children under the age of 18 can book and use the house only with an adult
5) The user must leave the equipment and the house clean when they leave
6) The user returns the key to the caretaker of the house at the agreed time
