Mändjala Nature House is located by the Suur Katel Bay in RMK Saaremaa Recreation Area. The island of Saaremaa was raised from the sea at the end of the Ice Age, and in the course of further rising of the ground a few millimetres per year, the island grew larger and the settlement expanded. By the end of the first millennium A.D. Saaremaa was one of the most developed counties of prehistoric Estonia. The Nature House is located in the Järve Dunes Landscape Protection Area, surrounded by primeval forest. In the rooms of the nature house the protected plants of the protected area, the primeval forest, forest pests and damages and different tree species are introduced. The Nature House welcomes all who are interested in nature and who value quiet and privacy and respect the vulnerable nature.

The small building of the RMK Nature House, which is located next to the Nature House, has places for 4 people upstairs. The use of the small building is not included in the rent of Mändjala Nature House. The Nature House sleeps 15 people in 6 rooms (3 double and 3 triple rooms) upstairs.
Bedding is provided, showers, toilets, a room with a fireplace (possible also to use as a seminar room – blackboard, screen, data projector, TV, WiFi, library available).
Fully furnished kitchen: electric cooker, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave oven, tableware.
Pet – 5 € per night.

Sights:
Excellent conditions for beach holiday on the scenic sandy beach. Basketball court on the beach. Viidumäe Nature Reserve, Lõo-Kaugatoma Landscape Protection Area and Ohessaare cliffs are quite near, and something exciting can also be found in the immediate surroundings of the Nature House. Viieristi hiking trail (1 km) is about 24 km away. Those interested in history can visit and explore the Tiirimetsa church, the Tehumardi monument, and the former Dejevo military unit and bunker.
Driving directions:
To get to Mändjala nature house drive 11 kilometres along Kuressaare–Sääre road. Turn left at the sign (“RMK Mändjala loodusmaja”), leave your car in the parking area and walk about 200 m to the Nature House.
As a user of Nature House you should know the following:
1) The Forest House is open only at pre-booked times
2) The estimated time of use is from 16.00 to 12.00 the following day
3) The number of users of the house is 15 people due to fire safety requirements
4) Persons under the age of 18 can book and use the hut only together with an adult
5) The user must leave the equipment and the house clean when they leave
6) The user returns the key to the caretaker of the house at the agreed time
