The “sunset” rental hut is situated at the edge of the Meenikunno bog, in Nature Reserve. You can enjoy the most amazing sunsets here.
Amenities:
The hut sleeps 9 and has a stove fireplace, stove, table and benches. Please bring your own sleeping equipment, dishes, drinking water, safe candles.
An outdoor fireplace and dry toilet outside. No drinking water or electricity.
Restrictions:
Camping is not allowed! The rental hut is situated in the Meenikunno Nature Reserve.
Parking facilities:
Parking near the hut for 3 to 4 cars.
Sights:
A perfect retreat from the city noise, where you can admire sunrise and sunset over the bog, listen to the sounds of nature, take a walk along boardwalk, or take photos of birds and animals.
Winter accessibility:
For winter use a warm winter hiking equipment (sleeping, mat etc) is needed.
Driving directions:
From Vinso, at the intersection of Räpina–Võru and Põlva–Värska roads, drive 3 km towards Värska. The arrow sign points to the right towards Meenikunno Nature Reserve. Drive 4 km and turn right, following the sign to the Päikeseloojangu rental hut.

Camping is not allowed! Pet - 5€ per night.
RMK rental huts are locked cottages mainly for the hikers who plan their hike more thoroughly. A rental hut provides the privacy for the user and therefore a “key fee” must be paid.
As a user of Forest House you should know the following:
1) The Forest House is open only at pre-booked times
2) The estimated time of use is from 14.00 to 12.00 the following day
3) The number of users of the house is 9 people due to fire safety requirements
4) Persons under the age of 18 can book and use the rental hut only when accompanied by an adult
5) The user must leave the equipment and the house clean when they leave
6) The user returns the key to the caretaker of the house at the agreed time
