The rental hut can be used in winter, if there is solid ice on the Kolga Bay. To go across the ice safely, the following aids should be taken along: ice awls and a whistle for each person, 5-6 m strong rope for the group.
For winter use a warm winter hiking equipment (sleeping, mat etc) is needed.

Driving directions:

The rental hut is on the eastern coast of Pedassaar island. The nearest ports are Salmistu and Kaberneeme. Best to access by boat from Salmistu harbour (phone +372 504 0792).

Additional information:

Tent camping (up to 12 person) is allowed only for booked guests of the rental hut, price 5 € per person.

RMK rental huts are locked cottages mainly for the hikers who plan their hike more thoroughly. A rental hut provides the privacy for the user and therefore a “key fee” must be paid.

As a user of Forest House you should know the following:

1) The Forest House is open only at pre-booked times
2) The estimated time of use is from 14.00 to 12.00 the following day
3) The number of users of the house is 8 people due to fire safety requirements
4) Persons under the age of 18 can book and use the rental hut only when accompanied by an adult
5) The user must leave the equipment and the house clean when they leave
6) The user returns the key to the caretaker of the house at the agreed time

Cancel booking

If the User cancels the Booking Agreement 25 or more days prior to the start of the booking period, the User will receive a booking fee refund, of which a service fee has been deducted (in case of "metsamaja" the service fee is 1,60 euro, in case of "loodusmaja" the service fee is 10 euro).

If the User cancels the Booking Agreement less than 24 days, but up to 73 hours prior to the start of the booking period, the User will receive a refund of 50% of the booking fee.

If the User cancels the Booking Agreement less than 72 hours prior to the start of the booking period, the booking fee will not be refunded.

The booking period starts at 12:00 on the first day of the booking.

In order to cancel the Booking Agreement, the User is obliged to notify the Service Provider of the cancellation immediately via e-mail: broneering@nordicrent.ee.

If the Booking Agreement is cancelled prior to the start of the Booking Period in the event of illness, accident or death of the User or a person close to them, the User has the right to receive a full refund of the booking fee. In this case, the User is obliged to immediately notify the Service Provider via e-mail: broneering@nordicrent.ee. The User has two weeks to present the Service Provider with a certificate (doctor’s, police or other) confirming the reason for cancelling the Booking Agreement. If the booking is cancelled for the aforementioned reasons during the booking period, the booking fee will not be refunded.

The Owner has the right to cancel the Booking Agreement in case of force majeure (natural disasters, risk of a forest fire, strikes or other). In that case, the Owner will inform the User as quickly as possible. In case of termination of the Booking Agreement by the Owner in the event of a force majeure, the User only has the right to receive a full refund of the booking fee deposited at the Service Provider. Other expenses made by the User are not refunded.
